Since returning to house music last year following a decade spent making sample-heavy downtempo shapes with Bent, Nottingham's Nail Tolliday has been scarily prolific. Even assuming that he had an archive of unreleased tracks composed during the Bent years, 10 EPs in less than 24 months is good going in anyone's book. Here, he pops up on France's Hold Youth imprint with two more chunks of East Midlands-inspired deep house bumpers. Choose between the spacey synths, bubbling bassline and chunky drums of "I've Been There" and "Our Love", a trackier trip into hypnotic, Chez Damier-inspired mid-90s Chicago deepness. Both tracks are expertly produced and get just the right balance between locked-in loopiness and boompty-influenced dancefloor bounce.
