Following recent outings on Sounds of the Universe, Deep Explorer and his own Deepblak imprint, Amon Bazile brings his brand of intergalactic deep house to Japan's Sound of Speed label. Happily, he's in fine form from the word go, with opener "Wind Walkers" layering spacey chords and bubbling melodies over an undulating, Motor City-influenced groove. "The Pursuit" is more cinematic and widescreen in approach, with drifting chords and disembodied vocal samples ushering in a yearning, analogue-sounding vision of deep house. Finally "Rahk" impresses with its combination of cheery keys, positive chords and loose, off-kilter house rhythms. Impressive stuff, all told.
